The Ilsco DE-OX-8OZ is a petroleum-based oxide inhibitor compound formulated to protect aluminum and copper electrical connections from oxidation and corrosion. Applied at terminations, lugs, and splices before torquing, it displaces moisture, fills micro-voids in the contact interface, and maintains low-resistance conductivity over the life of the connection — critical for panel terminations, service entrance connections, and underground splice kits where re-torquing is impractical. Rated to 600 V and tested across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 90°C, it performs reliably in both indoor and outdoor installations. The 8 oz bottle with a NSF P1 category code is suitable for use near potable water systems, and the non-flammable, non-hazardous formulation simplifies job site handling and storage.
