The NESCO Model ASB-1 is a 1-inch anti-short bushing (also known as an insulating bushing or red devil) designed to protect conductor insulation from the sharp edges of cut conduit ends. It is inserted into the end of the conduit before pulling wire to prevent abrasion and insulation damage.
