The Greenlee Nail Eater® Extreme Shorty (Model 62PTS-1) is a 1" auger bit built for electricians who need maximum bore capacity in confined spaces, capable of drilling through three abutting 2×4s without the reach of a full-length bit. Its patented cutting angle delivers smoother starts and reduced cutting loads, while the self-feeding screw point drives the bit through wood and nails with 30% longer cutting edge life than standard bits. Constructed from super tough, heat-treated steel with a 7/16" hex shank, it’s the ideal shorty bit for large-diameter rough-in wiring in framed walls and floors.
